my mouth dry with bitter taste
watching you with wetted eyes
saying all with last goodbyes
and the part that i abhore
the slamming of
the jamming of
bottled anger
forseen danger
unleashed upon
weakly hinged on

The Unemotional Door

it stares at me
no sympathy
no tears upon it's grain
nothing reflected in it's stain
just a sound reverberated in my mind
not to be forgotten this time

shadows in my mindshadows jump, and scare me
not quite there, but near me
like lips caressing my neck
burning a memory i can't forget
hands that used to touch
i remember well, too much
arms that held me tight
words to remember all night
i try to forget, but haunt me
i distract myself, but taunt me
hope catches my eye, but leaves me
like a knife, with intent to bleed me
i lose my heart to one, and another
i lose my soul and begin to smother
why can't i win, just one time
but lose to the shadows in my mind
my heart shreds, and my mind is erased
refuse to wake up to the pain i must face
the shadows haunt and confuse me
the ho

what the rain is aboutwhat the rain is about
indecision
losing oneself in the clouds
unable to determine direction
except that the rain goes down
but down is not an option
i was just there
it's not an exciting town
so that kills one choice

what the rain is about
dancing
water soaked hair streaking faces
clothes molded to skin
laughs lost in thunder
mudpuddle playgrounds
unfettered
free to be lost
in...in...
in...
indecision

unfinished victorythe silence of the night
steals into my fright
and the stars laugh one by one
with shaking hands i reach
and pull myself to my feet
finding strength without being strong

now i scream in pain
with everything i strain
i am losing all i've never had before
denying all the sky
even myself deny
a greater pain cannot ignore

slicing deep and through my veins
i have felt no greater pain
than staring deep into your eyes
i scream and try to cry
i run in fear to die
nothing left to no surprise

i can't even hear your voice
as i realize my mistaken choice
all i want is to hold your hand
while i drift from dream to dr
